Titus 3:3-8
At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in Malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.

Join with other college students as we grow in our passion to know God and His word, our desire for authenticity with God and with each other, our yearning for community, ethnic diversity and our desire to live our Christianity in a way that is more than formula.

Whether you’re here year round or just for a few months, our college ministry is about developing a movement of Christians bent on living out God’s Kingdom and equipping them for a lifetime of ministry.

So what is Renovatus? Renovatus is Latin, and means to renovate, renew or restore. Let’s face it, the world around us, and even in many cases the church, is broken. We have somehow missed the point and allowed ourselves to get caught up in the meaningless, the petty, and the temporary. This has left us all feeling like there might be something more out there than just our own small day to day lives. Basically, we need a renewal. The church, this world, and our lives, need to be made new. Better. We believe that in Christ we find our true humanity and purpose. We become the body of Christ that we were always intended to be.

Renovatus therefore is a community of young people seeking this type of life together. It is not just church, or a ministry, or a worship service, it is a group of people living life together. Not doing Church, but being Church, together. We meet every Sunday night, at 9 o’clock, at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Pomona. We share a meal together, experience a time of worship, commune with God and our friends, and seek wisdom in God’s word. If you are interested in Renovatus, we heartily welcome you to stop by and become part of the family.
